Is Isomorphology Scientific?

Isomorphology offers an alternative and visual approach to classification and acts as a reminder that there are many possible ways to find order in the world. Isomorphology is not a science, a theory or a belief system, it is a creative study. As such, it has epistemological value as a holistic study of symmetries and forms.

While connected to and derived from the observable, Isomorphology is a symbolic system and mode of abstraction. It can be understood as a visual language, which is coextensive with other modes of classification.
